China Southern Airlines Logistics partners with a leading Australian company to jointly expand fresh produce air trade.

On September 11, the Southern Air Logistics Co., Ltd. subsidiary, Southern Cross-border E-commerce Company, and Victoria Seafood Pty Ltd from Australia, officially signed a procurement cooperation memorandum in Melbourne to jointly expand the China-Australia fresh air trade.

It is reported that the first batch of Australian lobsters under this procurement cooperation departed Melbourne on September 12 via Southern Air flight CZ322, arriving in Guangzhou. After Australia lifts the lobster export restrictions in December 2024, the domestic consumer market's demand for imported lobsters will continue to grow. Since the beginning of this year, Southern Air Logistics has cumulatively ensured an over 280% year-on-year increase in imported lobsters, mainly to first-tier cities such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.

Victoria Seafood is a well-known Australian seafood supplier. The two parties will conduct in-depth cooperation around the export of Australian lobsters and other specialties to China, steadily expanding the import scale of such products. At the same time, Southern Air Logistics will also actively expand cooperation with other high-quality Australian suppliers, jointly promoting cooperation in more fresh categories such as salmon, cherries, and strengthening the promotion of Australian high-quality agricultural products such as wine, beef, and dairy products in the Chinese market.

Southern Air Logistics continues to strengthen its Oceania route layout and deepen the construction of China-Australia trade channels. It is reported that in 2024, Southern Air Logistics has cumulatively transported over 30,000 tons of cargo on the China-Australia route. Southern Air Logistics helps Australian fresh products reach the domestic market directly while further expanding to Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, and the Middle East regions.
