The General Administration of Customs of China has suspended the entry into the country of meat from five U.S. beef slaughterhouses and has reinstated one Uruguayan slaughterhouse as confirmed by INAC.
In the case of the U.S. slaughterhouses, the ban comes at a time when U.S. beef exports to the Chinese market have not yet resumed.
The suspended U.S. slaughterhouses are Tyson Foods and Swift Beef Company, according to OIG+X.
