China was the destination of more than 75% of Argentine meat exports during August 2023

Exports for the month of August 2023 reached a volume close to 65.9 thousand tons of refrigerated and frozen beef product weight; for a value of around 253.6 million dollars. Compared to the month of July 2023, shipped volumes show a slight drop, (-1.3%); while the value obtained shows a moderate decline of (-8.2%). Compared to the month of August 2022, exported volumes are (+14.6%) higher; while the value obtained has been (-24.0%) lower. The accumulated data for the first eight months of 2023 reveals that foreign sales of chilled and frozen beef were close to 461.3 thousand tons of product weight; worth approximately 1,935 million dollars. Compared to the first eight months of 2022, exported volumes are (+10.3%) higher; while the value obtained has been (-21.1%) lower. The average export price of chilled and frozen beef was US$3,850 per ton in the month of August 2023.
