Jilin Province in northeast China has launched a strategy to boost its ginseng industry, with the goal of reaching an output value of 80 billion yuan by 2025 and 100 billion yuan by 2030. The strategy focuses on several key areas including planting, product development, brand building, and financial support. Jilin, which leads China in ginseng production with about 60% of the country's total, will also enhance its ginseng industry's scientific and technological innovation to improve competitiveness. The province aims to make significant advancements in key technologies such as new variety cultivation, efficient planting, and deep processing during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).
