During her state visit to China from June 26 to 28, Peruvian President Dina Boluarte discussed the export of pomegranates and pecans with Chinese authorities. The National Agrarian Health Service of Peru's report on the cold treatment of pomegranates has been reviewed by the General Administration of Customs of China and is awaiting completion of the phytosanitary protocol. For pecan exports, a Chinese delegation is set to visit Peru in July to conduct an audit, following which the phytosanitary protocol is expected to be signed, enabling the export of these two agricultural products to China.
