The global chocolate confectionery market is projected to grow to USD 133 billion by 2025, up from USD 106 billion in 2020. The Polish chocolate industry, which had a market value of PLN 7.65 billion in June 2021, experienced the fastest growth in sales in 2020, with domestic companies' exports doubling the growth rate of France and Austria. Per capita chocolate consumption in Poland has risen by about 30% in the past dozen years, from 4 kg in 2007 to 5.2 kg in 2021. Chocolate bars and pralines are the most popular products, and milk chocolates are the leading type in Poland, followed by dark chocolates.
