The Chongqing Municipal Government aims to establish 100 smart fresh food markets by 2025. These markets, currently numbering 7, will be located in various areas including central cities, suburbs, and other provinces. The markets will use electronic displays to show unit prices and real-time sales data, and each booth will have a screen showing unit prices and items purchased. Products can also be traced for quality and origin. Due to cold air, prices of daily necessities in Chongqing have fallen, with vegetables and pork prices experiencing a decrease. However, pork prices are expected to rise due to increased winter consumption. Grain and oil prices are expected to remain stable with minor fluctuations.
