The Apromalpi Organic Producers Cooperative, comprising 118 families in the Chulucanas district of Piura, Peru, has received financial support from the Agroideas Program to establish a frozen mango processing plant. The plant, which cost 2.2 million soles, was funded with 1.15 million soles from Agroideas and 1.06 million from the cooperative. The facility, which has created 70 jobs, will allow the cooperative to export frozen mango to several international destinations, generating additional income. Since 2019, Midagri has approved 94 Business Plans in the Piura region, supporting 4,000 producers and investing a total of 42 million soles.
