Chungcheongnam-do's ’Nonsan-pyo lettuce’ on the way to export to Taiwan

[Reporter Song Hae-chang, Korea Rural Newspaper] Chungcheongnam-do Nonsan-style lettuce is on the way to export to Taiwan. According to Nonsan City, the export of lettuce to Taiwan has been confirmed, including ‘Onchae’, a farming association, and ‘Global Farm’, which was established by an alliance of five ore-myeon farms. Export volume is expected to reach 1 million tons per year. Onchae held a shipping ceremony at the headquarters located in Bucheon-myeon on May 9th. This is the first time Nonsan-produced leafy vegetables are exported to Taiwan.
