The Chungnam-do Agricultural Technology Institute has issued a reminder to mushroom cultivation farms about the importance of humidity and ventilation management during winter. The institute warned that closing the cultivation door to regulate growth temperature can lead to increased carbon dioxide concentration, which can slow down growth or result in malformed mushrooms. Improper ventilation and fluctuating humidity levels due to temperature differences can cause fungal clustering and an increase in water mushrooms. The institute recommended maintaining the carbon dioxide concentration at around 0.1-0.3% and indoor humidity at 80-90% to minimize water mushrooms and malformed mushrooms.
