Espírito Santo is the largest producer and exporter of pink pepper in Brazil. São Mateus, in the North Region, is responsible for more than half of the state's production and recently received the Geographical Indication (GI), which guarantees the seal of a product or service as originating from a location, region or country and meets all requirements from the market.
