The wheat harvest for the 2025/26 season has started at a rapid pace in the northern agricultural area of Argentina. According to the Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange (BCBA), preliminary results indicate yields above the historical average, especially in the NOA and NEA regions, reflecting the good development conditions of the cereal. So far, about 5.3% of the suitable area has been harvested, with averages ranging from 8 to 15 qq/ha in the NOA and 27.3 qq/ha in the NEA, surpassing historical records from the 2019/20 season. In the corn crop intended for grain production, sowing has reached 33.8% of the estimated 7.8 million hectares, advancing 4.1 percentage points compared to the previous week. The planting has already been completed in the Northern Core and North-Central regions of Córdoba.
