Global warming is impacting crops in France through increased episodes of meteorological disruption, leading to the recurrence of endemic diseases and emergence of new pests. Rising temperatures are reducing the length of the cycle for infection by spores and the appearance of new spores, leading to more intense and frequent disease cycles. To fight these issues, researchers are monitoring the survival and germination of spores and using biocontrol practices such as health monitoring, biocontrol agents, and diverse planting to modify the microbiota and conditions of disease expression.
