Belgium: Clock prices for greenhouse vegetables continue to fall below the five-year average

The sharp fall in greenhouse vegetable prices in the week after Easter, with the exception of aubergines, continued into week 17. Prices have fallen below the five-year averages. This is evident from new figures from the Association of Belgian Horticultural Cooperatives. The Easter price drop is also reflected in European tomato figures. The average price for vine tomatoes is higher, but at more than 78 euro cents, it is also below the five-year average. Figures collected by the European Commission up to and including week 16 show that the fall in tomato prices after Easter was the case almost everywhere.
