The episode, which occurred less than 20 days ago, generated uncertainties in the pesticide market, raising the substance's prices by almost 30% in the last two weeks. Although there was initially speculation about an impact on chlorpyrifos production, this was not confirmed, as the real focus is on chlorantraniliprole. The price curve clearly reflects the supply shock: quotations in China jumped from around US$ 30/kg to US$ 39.70/kg, according to Agrinvest data.
