[Fisheries Cooperative Central Association=Reporter Kim Dong-ho] The Fisheries Cooperative Central Association participated in the China International Fisheries Expo held in Qingdao, China, from the 29th to the 31st of last month as part of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' initiative to open up overseas markets for fishery products. The China International Fisheries Expo, along with the Boston and Barcelona Fisheries Expos, is one of the world's three major fisheries expos and a leading international event for understanding the latest trends in fishery foods. This expo saw participation from 14 Korean export companies, with the Fisheries Cooperative aiming for consultation results of $27.2 million, business agreements (MOU) of $2.4 million, and contracts of $1.3 million as they operated the Korean Pavilion, focusing on expanding exports to the Chinese-speaking world.
