Vietnam's agricultural exports to the EU increased by 10% in the first 11 months of 2021, reaching about 2.2 billion USD, which is nearly 14% of the total export turnover of main agricultural products. Coffee and cashew nuts made up a large proportion of these exports, with coffee accounting for 42% and cashew nuts for 33%. The European Veterans' Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) will provide preferential tariffs for these products, offering opportunities for growth. Despite the impact of COVID-19, cashew nut exports to the EU saw growth in both volume and value in the first 11 months of 2021. The Ministry of Industry and Trade forecasts strong growth in agricultural exports to the EU as COVID-19 is controlled and trade is opened up.
