In February 2023, Vietnam witnessed a significant surge in coffee exports to the Netherlands, with volumes increasing by 110.3% and values by 136.6% compared to the same period in 2022. The first two months of 2023 saw a 93.1% increase in volume and 105.7% increase in value in coffee exports to the Netherlands compared to the same period in 2022. The average export price of Vietnamese coffee to the Netherlands in February 2023 was $2,461/ton, with Robusta coffee being the primary export. This surge is part of a broader trend of increasing coffee imports by the Netherlands from both the EU and non-EU markets, including Vietnam, which has become the country's second-largest foreign supplier.
