Coffee growers speak of the possibilities for growth in the sector

The meeting of the Technical Committee on Coffee Farming of the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo (Faesp) provided a snapshot of the growth opportunities for the product in various markets. The coordinator of the Committee, Guilherme Vicentini, participated in the 8th China Import & Export Fair in Shanghai, while the deputy participated in discussions at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30) in Belém. Both emphasized that quality is the great differential of Brazilian coffee, but issues such as sustainability, traceability, and innovation are increasingly important in opening new markets. Today, about 50% of the coffee consumed in China originates from our coffee farms, but competition is increasing and there are already 66 producing countries.
