World coffee prices have seen an increase, with robusta coffee in London for July 2023 reaching $2,588/ton, up by 1.89%, and arabica coffee in New York for the same month at 192 US cents/lb, a 2.87% rise. However, coffee exports from Africa fell by 5% in March, totaling 1.12 million bags, despite positive growth in Burundi, Rwanda, and Uganda. Central America and Mexico experienced a decline in coffee exports, with Guatemala seeing the heaviest drop. In contrast, Asia and Oceania were the only regions to show positive growth, with Indonesia being the main contributor. This growth contradicts the International Coffee Organization's forecast of slower Indonesian production growth than consumption, leading to a decrease in export supply.
