Coffee production in Colombia is not enough to compensate for the size of the reduction in supply from Brazil

In 2024, Colombia, which is currently the world's largest supplier of washed Arabica, produced 13.9 million 60-kg bags of coffee, an increase of 23% compared to 2023. According to the National Federation of Coffee Growers (FNC), this was the second consecutive year of increased production in the country, due to good weather in the main growing areas. According to Germán Bahamón, general manager of the FNC, the growth in production is the result of the efforts of local coffee growers, who have been working on renewal and increasing the cultivation of more resistant varieties.
