Physalis is Colombia's second most exported exotic fruit. According to data from the National Statistics Service (DANE), the South American country exports the goldberries to 17 countries, including Spain, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, France, Belgium, Canada, Germany, the United States and the Netherlands. Exports have grown by 18% so far in 2022, following the trend already observed in 2021. The prognosis for the future is also positive.
