The Brazilian government is praising Colombia's approval for the export of Brazilian coconut seeds, marking the fifth market opening in Colombia in a year for Brazilian agricultural products. These products include hydrolyzed chicken protein, pork oils and fats, fish meal and fish oil. In 2023, Colombian imports of Brazilian agricultural products exceeded US$1.37 billion. This achievement is part of a larger strategy by the Brazilian government, with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs collaborating to open 140 markets in 51 countries since the start of President Lula's third term, with a total of 62 market openings in 2023.
