In July 2021, Polish law saw the introduction of 60 amendments, including changes to food law. The updates include modifications to the rates for commercial quality control of agri-food products, regulations for maintaining herd books, and the publication of uniform texts for vegetable and fruit plant species. The law also regulates the protection of agricultural and forest land, updates risk zones for highly pathogenic diseases like avian influenza and African swine fever, and adjusts maximum residue limits for certain substances. Additionally, it introduces regulations for organic production, allowing the use of certain products and substances in organic production. A detailed review of these changes, with links to the amended legal acts, is available online.
