The Office of Agrarian Studies and Policies (Odepa) reported a significant increase in Chilean honey exports for January-June 2024, with a 26% rise in value to USD 6.9 million and a 66% increase in volume to 2,776 tons compared to the same period in the previous year. Germany remains the largest market, accounting for 77.4% of the total export value. There is also notable growth in the United States, France, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, and the Czech Republic. Organic honey is seeing increased demand, particularly in Germany. Additionally, exports of queen bees and other bees have grown from USD 328,000 in 2021 to over USD 1.3 million in 2024, highlighting the diversification and expansion of Chilean beekeeping products.
