It is a fact that subsidies for coupled support for fruits and vegetables are only given against proven production realization, but climate change this year deprived a huge part of cherry, apricot, apple, tomato, and pepper producers of their harvest, which condemns the sector to a massive cut in this type of support. Therefore, farmers requested an extraordinary meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, which took place yesterday, to discuss options for covering the extraordinary losses. According to the farmers, the meeting was held in a tone of mutual understanding, with expectations that their requests would be heard. However, at this stage, the news for them is not good.
