Hung Yen province in Vietnam has seen a rise in agricultural production in 2021, with longan and citrus areas expanding and expecting to yield significantly more than in 2020. The province has also been working on boosting consumption of its agricultural products, both domestically and internationally, particularly to China, which is the third largest market for Vietnam's fresh fruit. The Covid-19 pandemic has posed challenges for food consumption, but the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Vietnam has been coordinating efforts to address these challenges and promote the consumption of agricultural products. The ministry is also working towards a more sustainable and digital agricultural value chain, from production to consumption, and has signed cooperations with e-commerce platforms to sell Hung Yen's agricultural products online.
