Around 200 trucks per day are exporting goods from Iran to Iraq through the Chadaba border, adhering to bi-national health protocols, as reported by Shahla Omori, head of the Ahwaz Chamber of Commerce. The exports include a variety of goods such as leeks, marble and granite, pickles, cucumbers, baked goods, ceramic tiles, wall coverings, bottle caps, plaster, white cement, disposable tableware, tomato paste, lemon sauce, plastic products, and ionolite. Iraq has recently granted a license for the import of tomatoes from Iran, particularly for the holy month of Ramadan.
