China has broadened its acceptance of corn and rice supplies from all regions of Russia, a change from its previous policy of only accepting these goods from certain territories. This policy shift follows an increase in exports of corn and rice to Kazakhstan by farmers in the Altai Territory in 2023. However, China maintains strict quality control measures for rice at the growing stage, and only rice that meets these standards can be exported to China. Currently, 436 businesses in the Altai Territory export crops such as corn, barley, and oats to China.
