Prolonged frosts are complicating road logistics and restraining sales by farmers who are waiting for more favorable conditions for sales and grain shipments, leading to a further increase in port demand prices, reports UkrAgroConsult. Export demand prices for corn in Ukraine have risen by $2-3/t over the week to $207-211/t or 10,200-10,250 UAH/t with delivery to Black Sea ports due to a rather low supply from farmers. About 8% of corn acreage remains unharvested in Ukraine, so farmers are expecting higher prices due to a shortfall in the harvest. However, 29 million tons of grain have already been harvested, exceeding last year's harvest of 26.8 million tons.
