The adjustment responded to both a revision of the planted area and an improvement in yield expectations for late plantings. According to the latest survey, the maize harvest covered 24.7% of the suitable area, following an inter-weekly progress of 3.1 points. The average national yield was 87.5 quintals per hectare, with outstanding records in the Northern and Southern Cores, where the results remained at competitive levels.
