A Masters Conservation student at the University of Plymouth, Eloise White, is conducting a survey to gauge attitudes towards a trial Atlantic bluefin tuna fishery in the UK, in collaboration with Cornwall Wildlife Trust. The study aims to evaluate the sustainability of hook & line fishing for ABFT, manage the stock effectively, and improve stock assessment. The project involves a questionnaire to assess stakeholders' views on the trial fishery, recreational fishery, and incidental bycatch of ABFT in the UK. Fishermen's participation will aid in the completion of a masters’ dissertation project and contribute to the assessment and management of the Atlantic Bluefin Tuna stock in the UK.
