Farmers in Schore have recently started using the purified residual water from vegetable processor Coroos in Kapelle. Coroos uses approximately 600,000 cubic meters of water per year in the production process, which is then purified through its own biological water treatment system. Since 2022, the water has been discharged during the growing season into a buffer ditch next to the factory premises after purification. A weir has been constructed in this ditch, from which farmers pump the water.
