Court Suspends Judicial Reorganization of Agricultural Giant

Judge Marilsen Andrade Addario, from the Second Private Law Chamber of the Mato Grosso Court of Justice (TJMT), suspended, through an interim decision, the processing of the Safras Group's judicial recovery. The decision, published last Thursday (30), responded to an interlocutory appeal filed by creditors, such as Celso Izidoro Vigolo and Agropecuária Locks Ltda, who questioned the authorization given by the 4th Civil Court of Sinop. According to the rapporteur, there are compelling indications of fraud in the recovery request, with absence of essential documents, incomplete accounting books, omission of legal actions, and lack of proof of the group's economic and financial viability. The magistrate also highlighted the use of distorted information, attempt at asset protection, and manipulation of the creditors' quorum, including the participation of newly created companies without real activity.
