Organizations FruitVegetablesEurope and Spanish Fepex have written a letter to Brussels highlighting non-compliance of agreements on Moroccan tomato imports, negatively impacting the EU tomato market. They call for changes in the calculation of Moroccan tomato import value and adjustment of the 285,000-ton quota allocated to Morocco, reducing it to 237,490 tons following Brexit. They also want clear labeling of tomatoes from Western Sahara.
