The location of the current outbreak is Split-Dalmatia County, confirmed on December 13, 2025. The source of the outbreak is unknown or uncertain. Clinical and laboratory tests have found that 26 sheep are suspected to be infected, of which 14 have fallen ill. The outbreak is still ongoing, and the Veterinary Service of the Croatian Ministry of Agriculture will submit follow-up reports weekly.
