Cusco: Forage oats will be installed on 450 hectares in the Quispicanchi province

The Regional Management of Agriculture in Cusco, through the Agricultural Safety Project, delivered forage oat seeds to more than 650 livestock producers in the Quispicanchi province. This important action will allow the installation of annual pastures on 450 hectares.

The delivery of seeds aims to guarantee and optimize the feeding of sheep and alpacas during seasons of drought and low temperatures, thereby improving livestock production conditions and boosting the economy of livestock farming families in the highland communities of the province.

Additionally, seeds for perennial grasses and foliar fertilizer were distributed, inputs that will favor the growth and yield of crops, promoting the sustainable strengthening of the agricultural sector in the Cusco region.
