Dairy Prices Drop in Ukraine: How Much Butter, Kefir, and Sour Cream Cost Now

At the end of last month, Ukraine experienced a slight decrease in prices for basic dairy products. This is reported by specialists from the Milk Producers Association. Pasteurized milk with a fat content of 2.5%-2.6% in film packaging costs an average of 46.41 hryvnias per kilogram. This is 1% less compared to the previous month and 25% more compared to last year's indicator. Kefir with a fat content of 2.5% in a plastic bottle decreased by 1% relative to the previous month – now it costs an average of 74.76 hryvnias per kilogram. Prices for kefir with a fat content of 2.5% in tetra pack decreased by 2%, while Lustdorf butter with a fat content of 72.5% in a 180-gram package costs 9% cheaper relative to the previous month. The reason for the price reduction is cited as an excess of raw milk and a decrease in purchase prices.
