Dak Lak Province in Vietnam is developing a sustainable macadamia cultivation project from 2021 to 2030 with an ambition to expand the macadamia cultivation area to 4,000 hectares. This project, which includes both new plantations and the expansion of existing ones, is aimed at improving the efficiency of land used for agriculture and forestry. The province is also focusing on building deep-processing facilities to enhance the economic benefits and encourage businesses to invest in macadamia cultivation for a sustainable and profitable source of income for local farmers. The strategy includes encouraging cooperation between businesses and farmers, zoning suitable areas for macadamia cultivation, and upgrading existing processing facilities.
