Avocado farmers in Dak Nong province, Vietnam are facing challenges due to a failed crop and fluctuating prices, leading to low income. The price is around 10,000-20,000 VND / kg, a decrease from last year, and the yield is also down, resulting in only 1 million VND per tree. The unstable price has also affected traders due to Covid-19 restrictions on imports. As a result, exports have decreased to a quarter of the previous volume. Consumers are also concerned about the quality of avocados as some are being harvested before fully ripe. Functions have advised farmers to invest in quality rather than expanding the acreage.
