REPUBLICA.CO.ID, BATAM -- Dandim 0316/Batam Colonel Arh Yan Eka Putra emphasized that the action against the cargo of rice, cooking oil, sugar, perfume, and frozen food secured in Batam was carried out after it was found that all the goods entered without official documents. This was conveyed in a press conference also attended virtually by the Mayor of Batam and police officers when reported to the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Amran Sulaiman. The operation was conducted on Monday, November 24, 2025, at around 23.00 WIB, after the Kodim received a report from the public regarding illegal unloading activities at a port in Tanjung Sengkuang Village, Batu Ampar District. Following the report, the Kodim 0316/Batam team immediately went to the location and found the loading of goods onto three motorboats and three trucks.
