Recently, under the supervision of Dandong Customs, which belongs to Dalian Customs, a batch of 150 tons of frozen poultry products declared for export by Liaoning Haoyang Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd. was successfully cleared and released after inspection and verification, and then sent to Hong Kong via Dalian Dayaowan Port. This marks the first time Dandong region has exported frozen poultry to Hong Kong.
"Hong Kong implements enterprise registration management for frozen poultry imported from the mainland, and only enterprises approved and registered by Hong Kong's food safety management department are allowed to export to the Hong Kong region. Upon learning of our export intentions, the customs guided us to improve our quality management system, complete the filing of export food production enterprises and supply farms, and ultimately helped us successfully obtain the recommended registration from the Hong Kong Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, opening up the supply channel to Hong Kong," said Liu Chengyi, chairman of Liaoning Haoyang Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd.
To ensure the traceability of the source of poultry supplied to Hong Kong and to guarantee quality, Dandong Customs guided the enterprise to establish a quality management system covering the entire process from breeding, slaughter, and processing, and increased self-inspection and self-control of veterinary drug residues, microbial indicators, etc., to ensure that the products meet market access standards; it also opened a "green channel" for agricultural product exports, promoting "one-stop service" and "cloud signature issuance" to facilitate customs clearance, achieving "inspection upon declaration, immediate inspection and release," ensuring "zero waiting" for agricultural product export clearance.
According to statistics, from January to October this year, Dandong region has already exported 8,281.2 tons of frozen poultry, with a value of 79,178.4 million yuan.
