The U.S. Grains Council, in partnership with ADM, used Market Access Program (MAP) funds to organize a webinar series to promote the use of distiller's dried grains with solubles (DDGS) in Central America. The webinars, which attracted 260 participants from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua, were designed to increase understanding of DDGS benefits and optimal use in various diets for poultry, swine, dairy, and beef cattle. The initiative saw a significant increase in DDGS import demand, with an estimated growth of 7.8 TMT valued at $2.1 million, resulting in a return on investment of $248 per $1 of MAP funds invested. The Council aims to further generate demand for 100 TMT of DDGS in Central America.
