The LAVA newsletter reports on the current market trends for various agricultural products. Due to an oversupply, cabbage lettuce and chicory are being sold at lower prices, while asparagus remains expensive due to a limited supply caused by a cold spring. Leeks and celeriac are very expensive, and the price of green celery is increasing as its supply does as well. Red cabbage is expensive due to small volumes available. Tomato prices are increasing, especially for smaller sizes, and aubergine quotations are increasing but are still limited due to a large supply. Cucumber prices are on the rise due to increasing demand, but bell pepper prices fluctuate, with green bell peppers becoming more expensive and red and yellow becoming less expensive.
