Denmark has successfully secured new food export agreements with China, a significant breakthrough for the country's barley, fish, and horse feed industries. These agreements were achieved during a visit by Denmark’s Minister for Food, Agriculture, and Fisheries, Jacob Jensen, to Beijing on April 21-22, 2025. The deals include simplified export procedures for wild fish and seafood, and improved market access for Danish barley and horse feed. These agreements are expected to enhance Denmark's export growth and strengthen its position in the Chinese market, particularly in the fish and seafood sector which currently accounts for 35% of its total food exports to China.
