Chihuahua state is leading in the production of several agricultural crops, including bone cotton, onion, green chili, green alfalfa, forage and grain oats, yellow corn, apple, pecan, pistachio, and oregano. Deputy Patricia Jurado highlighted the importance of agroindustrial production in generating income, jobs, and food for local families. During the virtual state congress session, Jurado emphasized the need for penal code reform to address fraud in the agricultural sector, calling for more severe legal consequences to prevent recurrence of such crimes.
