South Korea: Developed by Chungbuk Agricultural Institute, shiitake mushroom complete badge with first export route

A complete medium for mushrooms refers to a medium that has all the conditions for mushroom growth after inoculation of mushroom spawn on materials such as sawdust or rice straw, and complete mycelial culture. If mushroom growth conditions are provided on this medium, there is a convenient advantage that mushrooms can be produced immediately. Recently, the global trend in mushroom production, centered on shiitake mushrooms in China and mushroom mushrooms in Europe, is a trend to switch to a ‘complete medium’ system. In line with this trend, in 2018, the Chungbuk Agricultural Research and Extension Services began to develop a production technology for export-type finished culture media jointly with the Rural Development Administration and the Korea Mushroom Spawn Association, and it has reached today.
