Poland: Domestic blueberries are dwindling, prices are rising and will continue to rise

The prices of domestic blueberries are slowly rising. The delayed season in Peru may even lead to short-term shortages… The collection point, producer group or wholesale market – the situation is similar. There are fewer and fewer domestic blueberries on the market, so their prices are rising. On the market in Bronisze, a kilogram currently costs from PLN 15.00 to PLN 30.00. In recent days, prices have been even higher. This shows that the supply will be smaller with each passing week. Fruits over 10 mm in bulk are purchased at PLN 21.00 – 22.00/kg. Prices will also rise due to the delayed season in Peru. This year, the peak harvest is in November, and deliveries to Europe will fall in December and January.
