According to Rosselkhozbank, by the end of the year Russia will provide itself with oysters of its own production. Thus, according to the Bank's Center for Industry Expertise, the demand for domestic oysters is growing rapidly. According to experts, this is due not only to the popularity of this delicacy, but also to the increased volumes of aquaculture production of this type of mollusk from 2 tons in 2013 to 4.6 thousand tons in 2021. Also important is the fact that the cost of Russian oysters has dropped significantly. It is worth noting that last year Russia imported more than 400 tons of these mollusks from Morocco, New Zealand and Japan. Today, the share of domestic production in consumption already exceeds 90%.
