China has approved the export of fresh pears to Ecuador, effective from July 29. Exporters must ensure the orchards and packaging plants are registered and approved by the relevant agencies. Ecuador's quarantine pests require specific control measures, and fresh pears must be manually selected and washed to avoid carrying impurities. If the packaging factory fails to meet phytosanitary requirements, corrective measures will be taken and the export qualification may be suspended. Goods from fruit fly-infested areas may require pre-export cold treatment.
